Special A ep.4
Opinions from the Webmistress
This episode changed quite a bit from the chapter in the manga. In this
episode, Hikari tutors Kei's younger brother, Sui. Sui hates his brother,
saying that Kei is like an emotionless robot. After seeing Kei frantic
over Hikari when she gets hurt, Sui sees that his brother just hides
his emotions and ends up loving his brother. In this episode, Kei and
Sui's baby-faced father, Satoru, makes his first appearance. After first
hearing Satoru's voice, I had to wiki who does it because the voice
sounded so familiar but I couldn't place it. It turns out that Satoru's
voice actor, Megumi Ogata, did the voice of Tsukishiro Yukito of Cardcaptor
Sakura! Her voice works very well. ^^;
As I mentioned before, this episode changed from the manga. While it's
nice to have a change from the manga, I wish they left the ending the
same. In the manga, Hikari rescues Sui from a group of thugs. Sui rushes
back to get his brother and Kei shows quite a bit of emotion and rushes
to protect Hikari…who was fine and kicked all the thugs' butts with no
problem. In the anime, Hikari rushes after Sui after the brothers had a
little tiffle. Trying to get Sui to head back to the house, Hikari falls
and bonks her head on a railing. Sui tries to carry Hikari back and on
the way back to the house, Kei is seen rushing down a hill to get to get
to Hikari. Apparently he has some psychic powers when it comes to Hikari
and felt that something happened to her. *shrugs* I just really wanted to
see Kei animated with the manga ending. It was just funny. Oh well. Can't
have it all, can we? One of my favorite anime-only parts was the dragon fly
competition between Kei and Hikari. That was funny to watch. Hikari
(naturally) lost. ^^
There you have it! That's all I really gotta say about this episode!
Seen the episode? What do you think? REVIEW!!!
